Ruben K.
i build things, break things, and automate the rest

now

couldn't rely on openclaw, so i'm making my own claw. using langgraph and deepagent by langchain to build a personal AI assistant that i actually trust. i selfhost my own models, currently trying to squeeze the best out of qwen3.5:9b, which is a fun challenge with a model that small.

still figuring out where exactly i fit in this industry. trying to break into devops properly. i've done the work, just need someone to give me the shot.

what i work with
daily drivers typescript, python, bash infra docker, github actions, proxmox, traefik, wireguard cloud aws extensively, some hands-on with azure linux nixos daily, managed debian in prod, I host my own dns security always in the back of my mind

i've written rust, go, kotlin, and others. i understand how they work. i just don't reach for them when i need something built fast.

things i've built

some repos are private at the moment for security reasons. they'll be open sourced when the code and time is right.

background

started in cybersecurity. built vulnerability scanners and managed deployments for banking clients at a security startup. moved into fullstack, set up ci/cd pipelines and cloud infra at a real estate startup. did a devops stint containerizing .net apps on eks.

now in canada. running a homelab on proxmox, selfhosting everything from AI models to media servers behind tailscale and traefik. i automate the hell out of everything because life's too short to do things twice.

aside

i use a tiling window manager (mangowc + noctalia) because i like my screen organized the way my brain works. i make AI art with z-image-turbo when i'm not working. the AI space is moving dramatically fast. some people find that overwhelming, i'm optimistic about where it's all heading. always following what's next.
